Education is a Prime Factor in my Administration - President Muhammadu Buhari

 President Muhammadu Buhari Affirms that Education is a prime Factor in his Adminstration.

The president, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR has said that education will remain a prime factor in his administration. He further stated that  as a priority, his Government will improve the level of education to bring about economic change and provide skilled manpower to maintain economic activities for economic empowerment.  The President stated this at the 10th Convocation Ceremonies of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.



The President represented by the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Anthony Anwukah in his speech, challenged Universities in Nigeria to be at the vanguard of promoting research and providing social facilities in the community where they are located.

He reminded every teacher at the primary, post primary and tertiary education to acquire a certified education training to continue to be relevant, to teach any segment of education.  He emphasized that the government will give a two-year notification to allow every teacher update his or herself along the line.

He called on the University Governing Council to think of a means of improving productivity in the University, and urged them to make themselves relevant in order to attract private sectors to partner with the University.
He commended the University for the development and remarkable achievements which came through hardwork, peace and tranquility in the University.  He called on Nigerians to join in the process of revolutionary change, stressing that without discipline, law and order the society cannot make positive change.  He admonished leaders to adopt the right attitude and join in the fight against corruption.
